We are seeking a Senior Claims / Commercial Manager to work in our clients' offices in Hong Kong.
Applicants should have a minimum of 15 years' experience, experience of major civil engineering and building projects required. All candidates should be able to work as part of a team or independently.
Job Responsibilities:
Commercial management of a major building contract, closing out the Contract, including:
- Management of the Commercial Team
- Overseeing the final re-measurement of the Contract
- Overseeing the final assessment of variations
- Inputting into the final assessment of Extensions of Time
- Finalising the assessment of all Additional Payment Claims including global Management of Change claims
- Drafting all other Contract correspondence
- Valuation of scope
- Final assessment and valuation of Missing Items
- Final assessment of re-rating requests
- Overseeing all other Contract, Claims and Commercial administration
Job Requirements:
- BSc Quantity Surveying
- Professional Qualification is required
- Minimum 15 years' commercial & contract administration experience on major projects is required
- Proven ability to work independently essential

Senior Planning Engineer / Delay Analyst
We urgently require a Senior Planning Engineer to assist us. Candidates should be flexible and be able to provide a variety of assistance, including tender planning, construction planning, forensic delay analysis and assistance to directors including work in support of litigation / arbitration / mediation work and production of expert programming reports. The applicants need to have a minimum of 10+ years' experience, salary will be commensurate with experience.
The appropriate candidate should be proficient in the use of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and other similar programming software, experience of Civil Engineering and Building works is a prerequisite. Candidates with an ability to use BIM will be given priority, but such requirement is not a prerequisite. All candidates should be able to work as part of a team or independently. We will also consider applicants who are able to work on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Development of the works baseline programme using Primavera P6
- Fact-finding to detailed analysis, identification of critical path, quantification of delay and damages
- Production rate analysis and work cycle analysis to demonstrate entitlement to EoT
- Drafting of claim and negotiation documents
- Preparation in anticipation for defences to counterclaims and advice regarding retrospective analysis for EOTs, prolongation costs, disruption, programme and delay analysis critiques
Skills:
Suitable applicants for this challenging role will have experience in construction planning and forensic delay analysis on complex multi-discipline projects in civil engineering, building and major infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrable experience of Impacted as-planned analysis and Collapsed as-built analysis
- Strong programming skills, particularly using Primavera P6
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential. Written and spoken Cantonese a definite advantage.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience
- Relevant degree in engineering, building engineering or equivalent is required
