Quantity Surveyor E&M

The Contracts Group is seeking an E&M/ MEP Quantity Surveyor to work in our client's office/ site office in Hong Kong Airport. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years' experience, experience of major MEP systems is required. All candidates should be able to work as part of a team or independently.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing quantity surveying functions by assisting with:

  • Review of MEP drawings, specifications, cost information and BoQ for accuracy, completeness and contractual implications
  • Contract administration
  • Valuation of variations
  • Interim payments, cost control
  • Final account preparation
  • Quantities take-off/ Re-measurement
  • Assisting with claims research

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related Building Services discipline
  • Professional Qualification an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years' experience required.
  • Good analytical, communication and presentation skills;
  • Positive and proactive attitude with strong sense of responsibility;
  • Fast learner and a good team player;
  • Detail-minded and self-motivated;
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Putonghua desirable, but not essential.
  • Good computer knowledge.
  • Client experience is highly desirable.

Project Quantity Surveyor

The Contracts Group is seeking Project Quantity Surveyors to work in our client's office in Hong Kong (Airport Area). Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years' experience, experience of major civil engineering projects and building projects. All candidates should be able to work as part of a team or independently.

Responsibilities:

Providing quantity surveying functions by assisting with:

  • Contracts administration
  • Valuation of variations
  • Interim payments, cost control
  • Final account preparation
  • Quantities take-off / Re-measurement
  • Assisting with claims research
  • Preparation of tender documents

Requirements:

  • BSc Quantity Surveying
  • Professional Qualification is required.
  • Minimum 5 years' contract administration experience on major projects is required.
  • Proven ability to work independently essential.
  • Good analytical, communication and presentation skills;
  • Positive and proactive attitude with strong sense of responsibility;
  • Fast learner and a good team player;
  • Detail-minded and self-motivated;
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Putonghua desirable, but not essential.
  • Good computer knowledge.

Associate Director

Responsibilities:

The Contracts Group is seeking an experienced, qualified individual who has held senior positions in construction. Applicants' backgrounds should include:

  • Experience of working on building and civil engineering projects.
  • Dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation and litigation support work.
  • Expert witness work would be an advantage.
  • Professional contractual and claims preparation, advice and assistance
  • Contracts administration
  • The applicant is likely to be a Qualified Quantity Surveyor, but applicants with the appropriate experience and other qualifications will be considered.
  • Spoken and written Cantonese preferred. Spoken Putonghua is also an advantage.

Requirements:

The successful applicant should be able to integrate with the management team and assist with daily operations and identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities to continue the company's expansion throughout the region. This is a long term career position and there will be an opportunity for promotion to director level after a successful preliminary phase.
