Following the announcement made by the Government to build housing development on the eastern portion of Fanling Golf Course (FGC), 32 ha of land will be taken back in 2023 to accommodate 9,000 flats. Technical studies have been underway to examine full development and partial development options of FGC. This move as one of the Government's plans to ramp up housing supply has become controversial.
