O · PARK1, the first organic resources recovery centre, locating at Siu Ho Wan of North Lantau adopts anaerobic digestion technology to convert food waste into biogas (a source of renewable energy similar to natural gas). It is capable of handling 200 tonnes of food waste per day. In this virtual visit participants will discover and learn more about the process for handing the food waste and turning the waste to energy, as well as the challenges, followed by a Q&A session hosted by the site representatives and the ICEHKA site visit reporters.
