Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) is a non-traditional procurement route, where a contractor's skills are introduced early in a project to bring design and cost efficiencies to the pre-construction phase. ECI is a two-stage process where the first provides for contractor involvement in the design process, and the second provides for completing outstanding design and construction of the works. This webinar offers an overview of optional Clause X22 in the NEC4 ECC. Explanation on when ECI could be used and how best to utilise it shall be introduced.
