The Covid-19 Pandemic has and continues to impact the world in ways no one could have imagined. Worldwide challenges appeared in every aspect of life both personally and professionally. Given the various consequences of the COVID pandemic, international arbitration and cross-border disputes have been on the rise. With travel restrictions in place, the international arbitration community has already responded swiftly to address novel problems associated with COVID in order to ensure smooth (and continued) arbitration proceedings. The panel will discuss inter alia how COVID has impacted international arbitrations and cross-border disputes, what measures have been implemented to ensure that parties' rights continue to be heard and disputes resolved, and what they believe the new norm will be once the COVID Pandemic is over.
