The Development Bureau (DEVB) issued Technical Circular (Works) No. 6/2021 on 5th October 2021, introducing security of payment provisions ("SOP Provisions") for new public works contracts. The implementation of the SOP Provision is in two stages. The speakers will discuss the impact of this Provision to construction industry in Hong Kong and sharing of their SOP experience in the regions where similar SOP provisions are in-place in this seminar jointly organised by the ICES and the YMG of the Lighthouse Club (Hong Kong).
